Fan motor in bathroom vent is crap!!!

Fan motor in bathroom vent is crap. They want $40 bux for a new motor and even the motor when new is loud.

Here is the fix.

Well I bought a 12 volt 250mm ( approx: 10 inch ) computer fan $20 bux. drilled 2 small holes on the plastic cross member bolted on the new computer fan
to the cross member. Then wired the new computer fan to the wires from the old fan was connected too. Super Quiet and uses less electricity
Will suck out 104 Cubic Feet Of Air Per min.

Old Fan motor:

Great idea. A possible source which is even cheaper is to just pull a fan from an old computer or a desktop computer power supply. They are 12dc also.

When we got our TT in September, the first thing I did was replace my fan with a Vortex II. It was an easy retrofit and no messing around with the roof.

Fantastic fans are even better.. but do cost way more $$$

I couldn't find a replacement motor for my ventline v2525 so I took mine apart. The stationary magnets were no longer attached to the case. I bought LB10 metal to metal glue off of amazon for $10 and glued the magnets back to the case. I could tell by the residue from the old glue where they were supposed to be. Note that the glue sets up very quickly so you have the parts cleaned up and ready to go. I don't know how long it will last, but for now it is working very well.
