Here i s my wood stove for my 5'er

well in a few weeks I will be buying my Wood Stove for my 341 RLQS 5'er It's small and puts out 14,000 BTU it's freaking awesome and a no brainer to install!
I will be using the wall mount for protection but won't install it on the wall.

Make sure you take lots of photos of the install to post for us on here. Being a high efficiency unit, does it have it's own fresh air supply?

It's a heater, it's a cook surface, it's a non-dairy desert topping for cats!
That's actually pretty nice looking. Does it use wood pellets or just small firewood pieces? The web site doesn't show the fan as an option, is it powered by the flue updraft?

You'd know pretty quickly if you have a propane leak.
I burn pellets here at home and have had woodstoves elsewhere for years BUT just can't see one in by fifth wheel. Fire aside, I'd not want to compromise the roof or walls for chimney, nor for outside combustion air vent.
We all know all too well the amount of bouncing and zhaking it gets going down the road.

I don't see a problem. It can be secured just like a tables are screwed down and straps for trips. Millions wood frame, wood floor houses have or had them. Your propane is outside and propane runs downhill unlike natural gas. Put protective mat for any embers falling out. People burn houses down everyday with fires on cook stoves. Millions of roofs penetrated with chimneys...no problem. Enjoy life, nothing is fool proof.

There are some very valid points made here none the less. We'll have to wait and see if someone does this mod and hopefully pics and ultimatly a video are made to show the finished product in action. Personally I can see someone doing this modification if their TT is permanent or use their TT it frigid temps but not for the average summer camper. Just my worthless 2 cents.

As someone who burns wood all winter to heat my house, I don't think I'd ever install a wood stove in my trailer. Maybe pellet. Wood stoves get so unbelievably hot. A small wood stove in our great room will make it unbearable in short order. Have you ever had a wood stove? Pellet stoves at least have an adjustable thermostat and you can touch the stove. Try touching a wood stove and your hand will fry. That why I actually switched to a boiler at the house. Keep the primary heat source out of the house and route heat into it as needed. Good luck if you decide to do this but be very careful. I for one wouldn't even consider it.

Back with our first pop-up..before they had heaters....AC...hot water heaters...only had a hand pump for sink...anyway..
We heated when needed with a ceramic flower pot turned upside down on the stove over a burner. I know nothing to add to this...

May not be helpful but I know a few sailboat owners who have had wood stove heaters over the years with no problems.

How it is made, installed and maintained seems to be key.

That said, it is a nice dry heat on a damp boat.

I was also in a hotel at Tahoe in Sept that had a space heater built into the wall of the bathroom. Something's used to be good ideas or the only was of doing things, but times have evolved. I'm not saying he will burn his trailer down but by the time the glow of he fire gets going he will have to choke it down to keep them from burning up. Ntm I don't know how you would safely route the smoke through the wall. These aren't 2x4 contruction walls. Not is it a wall tent with a fabric made for the stove pipe.

The stove is 10x9x12 I doubt he will have to choke it down much as you can't really fit much wood in that. This is clearly not the same wood stove your going to see in a house..

10x9x12 are outside dim. So the inside fire box must be real tiny. You would have to feed it just about all the time I guess. If you only boondock 100% of the time then maybe have a look see but for all the labor! time and money involved if you use sites with electric why bother.
A small oil filled space heater with a temp.control for a little over $100.00 is what I'd do and be done with it and no hole in the wall to explain when I try and sell it.

I like the idea. If the trailer sets on fire (and you are still alive) you can just go outside. However, if you are in a boat...now, that's a different subject .
