Higher voltage solar panels

Due to the cost of shipping larger solar panels, I started searching locally for suppliers that may be able to sell me a couple panels. I've seen one that carry Solarworld panels which are like 31V max (24V nominal?).

Today I came across a place that sells Sunpower panels. The voltage on these panels is 57 volts. The are 335 watt panels and big, don't know if I'd even have room for them until I get my camper and measure. Here is the site for them:

I'm assuming that these would be feasible to use with a MPPT controller, right?

I can only speak for the MorningStar TS MPPT 60 SOLAR charge controller. The max voltage is 150 volts (from SOLAR Panel) and 800 watts (from the SOLAR panel) on a 12VDC system.

Take a look at HomeDepot SOLAR panels... no shipping charge.. they may still have some good deals

You will have to look at each controller to find it's input specification. I just looked up two cheap MPPT controllers from Bluesky and one listed 36volts as the max input and the other wasn't stated clearly.

So definitely check the specs but yes you can find MPPT controllers that will work with those voltages.

Midnite is another controller that can accept up to 150 volts.
