Installed a Weather Station in the 154BH

Finally finished filling in that nook Jayco puts in the 154BH Entertainment Center for a future DVD / stereo player.

Found a great combo in a compact DVD player and Weather Center. The Weather Center keeps an eye on the interior and exterior temperatures as well as the fridge for me. It also has an atomic clock, alarm and more weather trend predictors than I'll ever fool with.

All I had to do was make a face plate for it. I secured it with velcro so I can get behind it easy. I'm happy with it.

Nice work again, threebutchers. Looks professional. What material is the faceplate?

Where did you mount the anemometer and wind direction instrument?

Supposedly, you can get that option from the distributor - wind measurement is WAY beyond my tinkering interest - I just opted for the temp / humidity remote sensors.

Hey - if there wasn't an atomic clock built-in... it would just be blinking 12:00 the whole time we were camping

I certainly carry a weather station as well as a NOAH WX ALERT radio in my trailers. I use the LA CROSS WS8015 unit here. This is another feature I like when using the OTA Batwing antenna to watch the local NATL BROADCAST from local towns that has 24-hour radar channel.

Most of our camping is in our OFF-ROAD POPUP setup and you really don't want to get caught in a high wind storm.

Nice job on your end.

Where did you place the remote sensor ??? - I'd like to have one on my wall as a permanent fixture, but was wondering where I'd place the sending unit outside.... supposedly it needs to be in a shady area, but how would that work for a travel trailer ??

tks,

I should have posted a picture of the remote sensors - they are pretty cool. They have their own on-board display, come with a cradle and they have a large hole at the top which allows you to hang it from most anything.

I hang mine from the awning outside....but honestly, I found more amusement / benefit keeping in the refrigerator and cooler monitoring the temperature
