Installing a Larger TV

I did try to search for threads on this mod, but wasn't quite finding what I'm hoping to get some ideas on.

We have a 27DSRL and want to replace the 32 TV with a 40 incher. Can anyone provide some pics of this sort of modification? A 40 won't fit in the frame for the tv and must mount outside the frame, so hoping someone can help me figure this out! We need to ensure the slide can come in and not hit the TV too.

Thanks in advance!

Can you post a pic on the current setup? Not familiar with it. Mounted a 39" tv with a moryde tv mount earlier this season and very happy with them both.

I did not attach the 40" when I made the change over.. mine sits on the rear ledge (where the popup TV was) and when I travel I place the TV on the bed under a blanket..
My RV TV is better quality now than my house TV but then as you can see I spend more days a year in the RV than the house

I don't have your model trailer, but we also wanted to add a larger TV in our bedroom where the TV was too large to fit in the designated area, which in our case was between the ceiling and the window valance below.

Bought a tilt/swivel/articulating arm/removable TV mount that allowed us to hang the TV while in use, and we just removed it from the mount and laid it on the bed during travel. I also liked that the wall mounting point was narrow because in our trailer, we only had a 3" wide vertical strip of wood to screw into. Here is what I bought and it worked great for us.

I replaced the 32" TV in my 29RKS with a Vizio 39" (Walmart). The 39" TV does not fit INTO the entertainment center but does retract far enough for the slide to clear by 3-4 inches. In order to "center" the 39" TV, the mounting bracket needs to have one of the hinged ends reversed - raised from a lower to upper position - pull hinge bolt and move up. To secure the TV for travel, I purchased two "strap" loops from Lowes and a roll of double sided velcro (attaches to itself). Push the TV against the entertainment center frame and secure with a velcro strap looped through the strap loops. I used two small pieces of high density foam to cushion the TV frame and Ent Ctr frame. I remounted the 32" TV in the bedroom. The bedroom bracket (Amazon) allows for a quick removal of the TV for travel (keyhole screw holes). Good luck

Thanks for the responses.

We also use a pivoting mount for our bedroom TV and secure it in place with straps while travelling. Seems to work well.
