Cut the top and bottom out of 20 oz. water bottle. Split it down the side. Slip it over the plug, tape the top with electrical tape, face the bottom toward the ground, no way for the connector to get wet. Easy to make, easy to replace.....happy camping!
Good idea. I use dielectric grease to prevent corrosion in the plug. I also have a plug saver on the frame of the trailer. I put the plug in the plug saver and it keeps it dry.

sometimes the best fixes are just using WD-40, DUCT TAPE, and BAILING WIRE... Not necessarily in that order.

I just take my plug and stuff it up underneath the extended hitch of my fifth wheel. Don't think too much water will get in there. If it does, than maybe water in the plug will be the least of my worries. As far as my boat trailer, I just take the cord and drape it over the tongue so that the hitch hangs with the slots facing the ground. Again, if the plug gets water in it in this position, maybe there's way too much moisture for me to be out and about anyway.
On my last trailer, I used to curl it up and store it in the pin-box. Later, I bought a 7 way plug storage box. Can be mounted in any position.
I forgot to remove it when I sold the 5er.
Now, I'll have to buy one for the Jayco.
