Ladder Towel drying rack

This is an old mod I did last spring that I am finally getting around to posting. It fits between the ladder rungs and holds a fair amount of towels, suits and some other apparel to dry. I fabricated it from 3/4" PVC and clothes line run back and fourth. The support arm detaches between the two legs and it is not glued so that I can fold it up and store it easily while not in use. Dimensions can vary depending on how much space you need.

Nice idea. I don't have a ladder, if I did I would be heading to home depot right now.

Just thinking in writing here....Why couldn't you make a 4" square out of PVC with a T on the top to attach a pole to and then at the top of the pole make a square with the rop just like what we've made to go on the ladder. Might even make 2 of the 4" squares to give a bit more support

Or make a 4" square with one of the corners being a T. Then coming off the T put a 45. Put one of these on each side of the bumper. Coming off the 45 would be a piece 2 - 3 ft long on each side - this would stand at a 45 degree angle to the ground. Drill several holes in these to run rope back and forth. Don't glue the 3' piece to the 45 so it can be taken off the bumper for travel. Actually I'm starting to like this design. I think it would be nice and compact. Way more compact than the ladder design. But I havne't actually tried this.

Here is the store bought version for what you are looking for. You probaly could design something similar but it might cost close in supplies once you get it close.

Another option if you have smooth sides would be a suction grab bar to hold the pvc up.
