Lighting in pantry Closed

Just installed some lighting in the pantry closet. I hated how dark it was. I wired the lights in to the lights in the roof, just in front of the pantry.

You are about two days ahead of me on this mod.
I was planning to put lights in our pantry this weekend. In a different thread, they used small LED to illuminate the control panel.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I purchased 4 of them. One will be used in the same manner to light up the control panel and the three remaining lights will be installed in the pantry.

Nice work!!!

We installed LED tap lights in ours. They do the job but are not as nice as yours!

I bought the lights at Walmart. It was a 8 Pack. They were in the automotive section. The kit is for truck beds.

Very sweet mod, Brianca2! Except now, when you grab the Scotch instead of the A-1 sauce, you can't blame it on the poor lighting!

Very nice work!

Very true. Both are good though.

That is exactly what I will be doing. The wife wants the lights to come on when the door is opened, much like a fridge.
So I have four micro switches that I will use. 1 for the control panel door and 1 for the top pantry door and 1 for the bottom pantry door. I am not sure if I will use the fourth one for an outside storage compartment door or for some other project.

I bought some battery powered led lights that have a motion detector on them. Every time we open the pantry door they turn on automatically and then shut off about a minute after you close the door.

I see you found the same white plastic shelves at Walmart that I did! They fit perfectly into most of the storage areas and for 5.67 you can't go wrong. I also added 1" rubber legs to mine (bought 3 shelves) but with that no-slip matting you shouldn't need them. Nice mod!

I bought mine at my local hardware store. They are made by Stanley. I can't find the exact ones I bought but here are some that are similar
