Living room satellite connection

In my Superlite, Jayco ran the external cable / satellite wire to the bedroom. I wanted to install my new Satellite receiver in the living room which would require some modifications. I found an outdoor Cable receptacle on eBay. Carefully measuring from the inside and out, I determined the perfect location where I could install the jack.

Once I got over my anxiety of drilling a hole in my 5th wheel, I continues the cable run through the entertainment center to where the existing TV cable is run replacing the single outlet with a dual.

This gave a very clean installation for my 211Z receiver.

BUT wait, there's one more.

The cool thing about the 211 receiver is by adding a simple external hard drive, it turns into a DVR. BUT there's not really enough room to install the drive in with the receiver. So I installed a power outlet in the little cabinet next to the radio.

This will also allow me to charge phones and iPads without having them laying all over the counters. It's a real clean installation and came out better than I could have imagined!

Next will be to install USB ports in the indent between the radio and cabinet.

Final update, I ordered the OTA (over the air) USB adapter to receive local channels. I placed the "dongle" in with the radio and installed a splitter for the park cable, one going to the dongle and one to the television. Putting it behind the radio keeps the cubby area much cleaner since it's a small area to begin with.

Sitting at the CG now and this is the BEST mod and addition ever. I put the Tailgater on the roof, and it found all 3 satellites with ease! We have 4 local channels too!
