MaxxAir II & Oxygenics shower

It seem that by far the most popular modifications to the campers seem to be the addition of MaxxAir vent covers and Oxygenics shower head. For what ever reason, I've been holding off on these additions. Well, today I broke down and ordered both, should be here next week and will be installed by next weekend.

With the loft on the BHLT, my kids say that it can get a little stuffy up there. There is a vent and window which can be opened, but obviously in the rain (when it gets the most stuffy) they need to be closed. That in addition to being able to keep the vents open while traveling in the summer should make these a worth while investment.

The standard Jayco shower head is very basic, and there's always complaints about the water pressure. In the hundred or so comments on the Oxygenics head, there's VERY few negative posts. So I will join the popular crowd soon with these latest modifications. Pictures after install.

I have the MaxxAir and the Digital and you can't go wrong with either.

When I tried my hand held shower sprayer initially, the Jayco one, at mid chest level, the water just dribbled over the side. The individual streams may have gone 1/4" up before they dropped. I put on the Oxygenics head with nothing else changed the when I turned it over the water hit the ceiling. Now it is less flow than the Jayco head, but it seems like it is a lot more.

It's odd, I ordered everything from Amazon at the same time, ONE of the vent covers came the next day, the other 2 items haven't shipped yet.

Anyway, installing the vent cover is so easy to do, it was actually enjoyable. Before installing it, I scrubbed the roof with Spic -n- Span to get it all cleaned up. I probably should have taken off the refrigerator vent cover, there was TONS of debris under that. Of course since the roof is all clean now, had to wash down the sides and get rid of the black streaks too.

Did you upgrade the fan assembly too? After several recommendations, I went with the Hengs Vortex II. It has three forward speeds and two reverse.... very nice combo.

Nope, but that is nice. It would work very nicely in the vent above the loft area.

Finally got the other vent cover and the Oxygenics shower head today. Got the cover installed already, but going to hold off on the shower head until I sanitize the fresh water system this weekend.

We've had several days of rain here and the vent with the cover was left open (with a towel underneath just in case) during the rain. Not a drop inside, I am very pleased so far. Now the bathroom vent is open, but I hope that the rain has stopped.
