Mods to Jayco 22FB

We recently made two mods to our 22FB that we really like so I thought I would share them.
First we built storage shelves behind the dinette booth. When we travel we use the tension rods that we purchased at Camping World. When DH was building the shelves we measured everything we wanted to fit in the shelves (ie coffee pot, electric skillet, etc) so as not to waste space. Altho we store cokes on the top shelf, we do not travel with them there just in case they were to fall and spill.
Second, DH sometimes works while we are on the road, so we removed the J Couch and replaced it with a desk and recliner. The J couch removed easily and we have it stored in a closet just in case we need it or want to sell the TT in the future. We were amazed at the extra room we had when the couch was removed. When we travel, we put the ottoman in the chair and bungee the chair to the small wood frame left from the J couch. We purchsed the chair and ottoman from WalMart for $99.

Fantastic use of the space! I want to know why Jayco didn't think of the shelving unit first. Lol!

we have a 23fb and have always wanted to utilize the space between the door and dinette, your idea looks fantastic! my question is, where did you find the wood to match the rest of the cabinets? or did you stain the wood to match. looks great!

We used pine lumber from Lowes and then I stained it. I know I used Minwax stain and then did several coats of polyurethane. Unfortunately, I forgot what color stain I used and the can was discarded months ago. I thought I was using the same color when I stained the desk but I was way off. I guess I should write these things down!

What happened to the furnace? Mine is located under the couch.
Yours must be a different year than mine. I also noticed where you have the shelving unit mine has the pump and water heater controls at the end of the cabinet. Also your screen door is different.
