I just got an idea to add 12v outlets near my tt wheels so I can pump them up with my 12v pump. Heh heh, haven't done it yet will post if I do.

Saw a battery box with a 12v socket built into the lid. It was a bit $$ so I gave it a pass. Seems like a bit of effort for something that would get very little use.

I have a 12volt plug in right above my stereo, I had the same idea as you, just tackled it a different way. I bought the 12volt pump and then added about 15 ft of wire to the plug in harness so it will reach the tires on either side of my trailer. Works great. Just a note however before you go thru that process test the pump first. I bought a cheap one and extended the wire, went to use it and the pump was not capable of pumping that high of pressure even though it said it could. Bought a better quality pump and it works great. It even allows you to preset the pressure you want, turn it on and it will shut off once it reaches the desired pressure. Allows me to be doing other stuff while i top up my tires.

I also have a small 12 volt pump and a 12 volt extension cord. Plug it into the camper and take it outside to use it.

My air compressor is a 12VDC model and I sit it on the tail gate of my truck. I use the Q Industries portable MV50 12VDC 150 PSI Air Compressor to use with the CAMCO 36153 Blow Out Adaptor for blowing out the water lines... Since this unit is tankless it takes time to slowy build up air pressure which makes it very safe to use for blowing out plastic water lines. Both units were ordered from AMAZON - It has a long hose and will reach all the trailer tires, the truck tires, and will for blow-out of the water lines all from the tail gate of the truck.

My 12VDC cable fits just fine plugging into one of my trailer batteries sitting on the trailer tongue area. I'm not sure how much 12VDC it needs to operate but the clip on battery connectors are pretty large. I suspect your 12VDC plugs would have to have large cable feeding them. Being directly connected to the battery is probably a better thing to do.

I made a 7 pin to acc plug adapter so I get power off my rear plug... works for compressor and my maciator(SP) pump

I put a 12V outlet in the bed of the truck. It has proven to be very handy and really nice for my 12V cooler! I am planning on adding a 12V outlet on the battery compartment door on the side of the 5th. Again for the 12V cooler and any other 12V appliance which gets used outdoors (which is a lot of them)

I have a portiable jump box with built in 12v plug. Good for powering your air pump AND jumpstarting your TV.
