One mod down, lots to go!

Installed sewer hose storage on my X23B yesterday. It looks a little weird on the front of the trailer. But, by locating it there, it should help to keep road debris off of the front stabilizer jacks.

where did you find the pin? I was going to go that way but used a bolt and wing nut instead because I couldn't find a pin

Found it at Tractor Supply. They have a good selection on the shelf. Or, search the website for "hitch pin".

any reputable hardware store would have that. Probably cheaper at walmart.
Great idea. My local home depot does not carry the fence posts. They have discontinued them so I am going to shop around but love the idea.

How did you secure it to the underside?

I just used some 8" bolts, flat steel, and drilled up through the frame.

I like this idea. I have a piece of 4 inch flexible drain tube tied to the frame for this purpose but it's a hassle getting it remounted.

Did the same about two weeks ago....mounted to frame using a piece of angled aluminum......did a little trim on the end cap to allow for a hinge and then used a clasp at the top....it just made a 4 1/2 hour trip and was still hanging there when I arrived....lol.

Nice work... I almost made a hinge also, but the pin idea seemed a lot easier.

Yeah....you have to leave 3 of the turned down sides on the cap(the part that slips over the post) and trim the 4th side off to allow the cap to be hinged where it will open down....you have to watch which way to turn bolts and screws to keep them from ripping the hose when it's placed in the post or removed from the post.....the pin idea allows for less to tear up.

I've seen this mod before and I'm confused. Does your rear bumper not have sufficient storage space for the sewer hose? We don't use any extensions and so I'm wondering if that is why this mod is necessary. Thanks

My rear bumper only has enough for the hose with no ends. I would have to remove the ends of my Rhinoflex every time I use it. Plus I have a screw in adaptor and a clear 90 that all now fit neatly together. This mod was an absolute must for me.

I like it, nice job. I am able to fit my 2 sewer hoses with the ends in my bumper, but this might be a place where I can store other items.

Space is one concern. I have no issue with space though. The reason I will be doing it is the rust issue. I am already seeing rust in my bumper after storing the hose there for 6 months.

I'm new to RVing but as you talk with the more experienced RVer's they will caution you about rust issues in the rear bumper because of storing a wet hose....with me, I have a new TT but felt like now was the time to eliminate this potential problem, if that was a possibility.

Cut 2 of the "ears" off the Rhinoflex and it will fit in your bumper.. I did that .. much easier mod..
