Our First Mod!

We have a 2016 Jayflight 23mb & after the maiden voyage, realized we needed to do something about the wardrobe storage area. We tried the hanging fabric organizers, but things kept shifting & it felt like there was a lot of wasted space behind it. We finally figured out a solution that allows us to use the entire depth of the unit, but also still hang what we need!
Believe it or not, we purchased the 3-tier shelf at Lowes, built it inside the wardrobe (it was tight, but had to be done that way). The bottom section of unit & 2 shelves were used on the left side of the wardrobe, while the top section & 1 shelf used on the right. We added a few fabric bins and voila! We have a nice area for extra items below, and a perfect place to store extra shoes as well. We'll be testing it this week while we're at Deception Pass! Enjoy!

Not sure why the top two pictures are sideways as they look okay on my pc, but a little left head tilt will give a clear picture

Nice job! What a great way to utilize the wardrobe space! Did the uprights come in two pieces or did you have to cut them?

We have modified the 'CLOSET AIDES' shelves kits from LOWES for many projects... The all look great when finished...

That looks good. I got the same trailer. Do you remember the details on the shelf kit? I wanna copy it, the extra storage space and organization would be appreciated.

They actually did come in two separate pieces. There was a threaded piece to connect them together, which was removed quite easily. Made for two separate units instead of one. What can't be seen is that it goes all the back. Worked about pretty nice. We're testing it this week
