outside shelf addition?

Has anyone added a shelf to the OUTSIDE of their trailer? I saw a mod here to convert the outside BBQ brackets to hold a shelf.

I want to add one to the back of the trailer between the bumper and below the outside shower at countertop height.

It would be removed and stowed during travel.

Thoughts?

You talking about a shelf like this one? I sent an email to the person who has this Jayco for sale but he didn't answer me. I haven't been successful in locating these parts but I haven't given up trying.
It's listed on eBay now and it's a x23b from Arizona, look at pic. #9.

That is the picture that inspired me. I can get both the BBQ mount and the rail for about $35 on ebay, then fabricate a shelf.

the BBQ mount is too tall for where I want to install it. I want to install it between the bumper and the outside shower. See the attached picture. then I will be able to use the outside shower as a sink.

With just a snap of the finger you'll have an outdoor kitchen. Can you get electric to that location also. Like your idea so now I have to rethink my kitchen plan.
Thanks Tunce

Right now I use a small / cheap folding camp table that butts up against the bumper. the table fits wash and rinse tubs and a dish drying rack. It is a bit flimsy and too far from the shower spigot.

If I can get closer to the trailer and maybe just a bit longer, life would be that much better.

I plan to add a towel drying rack to the ladder with a hook for a lantern. I thought about installed lights back there, but would be cheaper with an LED lantern.

as for cooking, I built a stand alone kitchen box to complement my 3-burner coleman stove. check out my mods.

A man always needs a project!

Here is a wall mount support for a table. This is what I plan on using for my outdoor table mod if I can't get what is on my Pop Up camper from Jayco.
