Raising lower bunk on X213
I'm thinking of raising the lower bunk on my X213. My 3-year old sleeps there, and my 5-year old up on top. There's a lot of space between the two bunks -- a bit tight on top, and a lot of space between them, with not much below the bottom bunk. My assumption is this is to allow for tilting the bottom bunk up vertical for storage.
For our purposes, I'm less interested in the space for tall storage, and more interested in seeing if I can make some space below the bottom bunk for our lab to sleep. Figure as long as there is structural support, i can move the lower bunk up about a foot and get what I need. Has anyone done this? Anything to watch out for in particular? I'm not too familiar with RV construction but it's obvious they're pretty flimsy.
