Replacing TV in Whitehawk DSRL

We would like to install a larger tv in our entertainment area. Currently I think there is a 32 inch TV.

Has anyone replaced theirs in this unit, or something similar and can share how they accomplished it? Currently looks like this. Thx!

Mine is a Jay flight, but may be the same. If you reach under the tv there should be a small braided aircraft cable hanging from one side to the other. Pull down on that cable then pull the bottom of the tv out towards yourself, then lift the tv up it should come off the hanger bracket. Just Remeber you then have to disconnect the cables before turning around and setting the tv Down. Sounds obvious but it slipped my mind once when I took it down and ended tugging on the wires a bit harder then I would like. Hope that helps.

If I'm not mistaken I saw where someone on here replaced their tv on a DSRL with a 39 inch. Don't know what brand. Not sure but I believe a 40 inch wouldn't fit the opening.

You are correct. Anything larger than a 40 inch would be sitting outside the opening.

Simple. Measure the size of the opening and then go to Best Buys or similar website and check out the deminsions on several sets. You are only interested in the actual case deminsions for each TV. All 40" tvs to not have the same width/height.

In any regard, you might find a set that is a 41 vs a 40" screen that will fit. Larger than that just isn't going to fit. I went thru a similar routine to find a replacement for an entertainment cabinet in my family room at home and for a replacement in my 2014 W Hawk 30DSRE. I was able to fit a larger screen using the above procedure. In recent years manufacturers have reduced or almost completely eliminated the edge size on their sets making them almost 100% screen to frame. You just have to look. All screen sizes do not have the same outer measurements.

Before we bought our Pinnacle we had an older Sandpiper 5th wheel that had the entertainment center with a smaller opening for the TV. I built a vertical brace across the opening that was flush with the front out of a pair of 2x6s, then attached a piece of plywood the same size as the opening to the brace, painted it black. I put in a 50" mount attached to the new brace. Worked great for us. When I sold it the buyers like the setup too.

I bought my own TV for my 2016 Jayfeather 23RLSW. 32" was to small for me. Bought a Samsung 40".

It does sit outside the opening and clears the slide by about 1 1/2"

Bought a double arm locking TV mount and fabricated the frame inside the opening.

I also added a safety strap in case the locking arm came loose.

Big difference in viewing area compared to a 32"

These pictures are super helpful. Thanks so much! I believe this will work in our trailer too!

It did take some careful measuring especially to get the frame depth correct so the TV would be flush with the cabinet frame but let the mount lock also.

Patience is a virtue here. Took me about 6 hours to do and a few choice words along the way. Extra hands help also.
