Shelving for more space
We never take hanging clothes so we added shelves to our closet. Gave us a lot more storage.
Not sure why my pic is side ways.

Excellent job! Light, strong, and functional shelves.

Good thought Sassy16...who takes suit coats and dresses camping? You can stack a lot of levis, shorts and t-shirts on those shelves. Good mod!

We did something similar. We used this...
http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/1/1/...organizer.html
We used this one because it could be converted to side by side use wich easily was able to be unstitched and turned into (2) 3 section hanging organizers, one for each wardrobe closet of the sides of the bed.

Yes this would have been much easier!!
The wire shelving was really not that hard to install. Bought a piece of 12inX12Ft shelf. Yes it was a lot more than what we needed but it was cheaper that way. Also had Lowes cut the shelf. I do not recommended this. Lowes employe takes the best guess on how wide the shelf needs to be. Would have been easier for me to cut it myself. A hand grinder with a cut off wheel/Disk works great to cut the shelf. There is a small 1/2 piece of trim in the back right corner that you have to notch the shelf to make them fit.

Looks good! Every time I take the trailer out on a tour, I faithfully hang up a couple of shirts and a jacket or two, and they are always in a pile at the bottom of the cupboard. For sure, who needs stuff hung up anyway! Great idea! I'll start looking for a decent "shelf" setup. :applause:

Yep,
Just did the same thing.
I ran some 3/4 x 1 on 3 sides and then cut shelving board to fit.
A much more usable space.
The wire racks I forgot about. They would have been a little neater looking and lighter.
Great mod
Doug

Nice! Did you mount the rear hangers to studs in the wall or just wing it?

I have always been hesitant to screw anything into the cabinets and TT walls. What size screw did you use? Thanks

When I added wire shelves in my 22FB, I bought a set of 1/4" bolt cutters from Harbor Freight for $8. They easily cut the shelving and I thought a neat job was worth $8. The plastic tips for the shelving are also a nice touch and keep you from scratching the inside of the cabinets.

The shelves look good but I married a hanger freak. My gal would hang up socks if they made a hanger for them.
