Shower, DVD, and Thermostat mods

Since I can't go camping right now, I've been quite busy over the past few days modifying my Jayco X17Z! Below is rundown of what I've done this week.

Mod 1: The simplest of the three, this was just adding velcro to the shower walls and shower curtain. I bought fabric velcro from AC Moore. I've used it on clothing before, and it makes it through the washer, so it should stay put. The goal here was to get the shower curtain to stay in place and leave fewer spots for water to leak out while showering. I put two strips on the left side and one on the right.

Mod 2: If you know the X17Z, Jayco inexplicably included a Jensen audio and DVD player, but no good way to hook a TV to it in order to watch DVDs. There are RCA connections on the back of the unit, but to get to them, you have to remove the unit. To get around this problem, however, I installed an RCA jack faceplate under the cabinet. Now, it's much easier to watch movies. Thanks to forum member FlyingPenguin for the idea on this one!

Mod 3: This is the very popular analog-to-digital thermostat swap. The benefits here are obvious, and it seems to work like a charm.

These were all pretty easily modifications, but they're giving me the confidence to tackle more complicated ones. I haven't broken anything yet!

Don't I know it! I got all three of these ideas from here, and I've got some others brewing.
