I have these on our TT, I put them on 1 1/2 years ago and when I moved my camper last august they were lighting differently with the first 12 leds being all colors, just tried them last weekend and they are the only ones that now light up

Do you mind sharing where you purchased the LED light strip from and what brand you went with? I've been searching forever and seems to be a vast difference in price on these and they all look the same!

BTW - The answer to my question on extending the cables from the lights to the storage box was: CAT-5 cable. A brilliant idea. I'll get working on that next week. Thanks!!

LED awning lights
(Follow up.. wouldn't let me edit the one above)
Lights are up and working on AC. Dimming capability is wonderful!!
I'm waiting for a 4' ribbon extender cable to arrive. Once here, I think I'm going to mount the IR module inside my porch light & stick the IR receiver out one of the top grates (need to notch out part of the amber cover to do this.
Then I'll tap into the porch light DC to power the unit. Fingers crossed.

Similar situation here. Put on a couple years ago and they worked last October but as of today only about 2/3 of the lights work and only half of them show the correct color. Mine are installed on the roller tube, not on the RV sidewall.

I know this thread hasn't been updated in a bit but..... I had a similar issue with my LED's from Amazon. After a very short time the red stopped working. I had another strip I was using on my back porch, so I swapped out the little piece that had the remote dongle on it, and it all worked fine. You can get those replaced for only a few dollars. Its worth the try before pulling it all down and putting up a new one. Also sometimes one of the individual wire connections may come loose. Either at the end of the wire or inside the controller box and may need to be soldered. Hope this helps someone. I plan on adding it to my new camper soon.

I bought these for a different purpose. Just for kicks, I zip tied mine to a flag pole for a weekend of camping amongst 30,000 music fans. It looked great and was visible from the main stage 3/4 mile away. Made finding our site a breeze for our adult daughter who was camped on the far end of the property. I don't plan on using when regular camping. And in this instance, it didn't directly overlook any neighboring sites.
