Starting My Solar Journey

I have just picked up 2 20"x48" solar panels and a charge controller that had a previous life on a DOT road sign. I also have access to the Trojan 6V batteries that are in the trailer, there are 8 of them. I don't know the status of them, if they are any good or not, but I have 8 to choose from. A friend and I bought it at a DOT auction. He has plans for the trailer part, and I got the solar parts. I know there is a lot of information here, just have to sort through it all and figure out if I have everything I need or if I need more to make it work for my TT. Looking forward to playing around with solar power. I'll grab a couple of pictures when I get them unloaded out of the truck.

Nice haul.
Any more info on the panels? What wattage?
There must be a solar controller somewhere in that set up too.
Put those batteries on a charge and see what what they charge up to!
Let us know more when you've had the chance to investigate.

Thanks for the photos. Looks like a nice haul!

And I see that you wear white socks with your sandals.
