Built a ladder for my 5 year old with a few things laying around the house and extended the drain for the water heater.

I love the rope ladder. I need to find a ladder for one of our upper bunks and may have just found it.

How did you attach the ropes?

I attached the rope by tying a few knots and driving a 1 5/8" decks screw thru it . I put 4 screws in the top and 2 in the bottom keeping the 1 closest to the edge tight to it so it doesn't lift up on the mattress. Make sure you screw into the bunk frame. On the 28bhs I couldn't find any other way that the bottom bunk could lift up to get in the storage under and you open the bathroom door.

Very nice mods! You obviously put some thought into the rope ladder. I'll bet the kids love it. Kind of like climbing up into a tree house!
