Cool setup. Great idea for the dog. Is that a tarp you use under the camper side.

My apologies, the only time we've spent in the Great Falls area was to take the kids to the Blue Angels show a few years back. Kids + KOA water park = fun for them. It has shaded areas and trees. It's nice for a KOA, but I'm with you, I'd rather avoid RV parks if possible. It fit the purpose well for us to get in and out quick to see the air show though.

Change of plan guy's. Thinking of doing 3 days at Missoula 3 days at Spokane & 3 days in Seattle , all at KOA sites then maybe a few days in BC on the way home. Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts or suggestions or experience of this trip. Leaving second week of September
Thanks col

If you go to Great Falls, you should spend 1/2 day at the Charles Russell museum. He was a western painter that had a studio in Great Falls. We decided to go on a whim and it turned out to be far more interesting then anything else in the area. I'm not big on paintings but that was extraordinary!!

The KOA is just on the edge of town, so if you want to be really close to things, like stores and restaurants this would be ideal. But if you want to be close to Missoula and feel like you're in the woods, check out this place.
Square Dance Center & Campground at Lolo, Montana
I've pulled in there to use the dump station and its a place we've had some Canadian friends camp when they were down. I didn't even see evidence of the dancing part of their business, so, like one of the reviewers writes on Google maps "don't be turned off by the square dancing thing".
