Fall Trip to Holly, Michigan
Went up for a few days this week. Weather was beautiful and unusually warm -- 70ish. Can't beat fall camping in my book!

Looks like a nice campground. Cute pup too.

Yep, you can't beat fall camping in Michigan!
If you get a chance check out Pontiac Lake State Park, also close to your home base. Nice clean park with large sites, lots of shade, trails, and rolling hills.

Love your site decorations, one question- Where do you put it all when traveling?

Bob, I've walked through Pontiac Lake campground, but have yet to stay there. Yes, looks like a nice spot. Where abouts in Michigan do you live?
Royal Oak here.

Actually, the decorated site was from another camper. Sorry, I didn't make it clear in my note.

I was just out there recently for a wedding at the Waldenwoods banquet facility. (Noticed a campground there, too.)

McGinnis Lake campground at Holly State Recreatiost Area is FANTASTIC. Good sites, lots of GeoCaches to find, great swimming area, super hiking trail. It's one of my favorites. The only downside is there's just one sanitation station dump. Lines can be long if you leave at the wrong time.

Rusty, yes, I love the sites at McGinnis--many of them are brushy and private. I often see geocachers driving aruond, which is cool too.
You from that area? Royal Oak here.

St. Clair Shores. I also like LakePort, but the sites are more open. Lake Huron itself makes up for it. Sea-breezes keep the mosquitos off.

After the Michigan pictures I saw today I am willing to bet that it looks a little bit colder there today.
