JayFlight 28BHBE Smith Point Beach campground (L.I.)

Here are some pics from our maiden voyage for our JayFlight 28BHBE July 4th week. Other than the Hot and Cold water connected reverse - hot on right and cold on left, no issues with the new Jayco. Especially Love the layout, the room with the slide and the wide bunks. A lot of really nice features and touches. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Um, yeah. So you were sandwiched right between me and my brother that week. I was the first spot on the left up top. #230. My brother was by the wave. Like 278. You were just a few spots away from me, like 236 or so. Lol

We both came back from Smith Point again today!

Very funny. Yes, we were either 234 or 236 and think I remember your camper in the corner site that week and remember the Whitehawk there as well. Nice setups for sure. Week started out hazy, but ended up beautiful so it was a good week to break it in and can't beat the location. If you spot us in the future, hope you feel comfortable enough and say hello but we have no more plans for Smith Point though this year. If we have an warm September or early October, might look to get there once more.

No plans yet. Are you headed out again? We just got back from Strawberry Park. Last we checked at Smith Point, the full hookup sites were sold out for September. Might just drive it out, but we do have plans for Indian Island in early September with a few friends and their families, so that should be a good time.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

My wife and I will be making our first trip to Smiths Point next week. Really looking forward to and hoping the weather will hold up.

I just got back. There were actually 2 other 26RLS's out there. One of them even had the same4 exact 1500 we had which was funny.

We're going back to Smith Point twice in September and once in October.

So far how do you enjoy your new unit? We went to look at this floor plan a few weeks ago and loved it.

We love the new trailer and the layout gives us lots of sleeping options with the large slide makes it very roomy. Seems well made and overall very happy we chose this model.

How is the cleaning of this unit? Is it difficult? Can you only go side to side when washing?

I'm assuming you mean the outside Aluminum siding? Haven't had to clean it yet, but our old Jayco had Aluminum siding and it was pretty easy. Cleaning motions side-side makes the most sense for me, but there is nothing other than the ridges of the siding itself that would get in the way of vertical cleaning. Used black streak cleaning products on some of the tougher spots a few times, but mostly just used car washing soap.
