Yea my son liked the skull pool, we live like an hour and twenty minutes or so away. We usually go to Lake George RV park. Witch I really like. Moose hill is not bad. My wife just finished booking five trips. Including NJ cape may and PA Jelly stone . Each trip booked for week and a half. Can't wait.

I only live 30 mins from Lake George and we've stayed at the Battleground State park a couple times but when we stay up there now we usually go to the quieter Fourth Lake state park in Lake Luzerne and drive in a walk the village for an evening.Either way it's a decent time in that area.
We've looked at Cape May and they seem to have some nice CG's there. Where did you book?

Donedroolin - Nice Setup.

I heard that the roads are all gravel at Moose Hill. Does it make it tough for getting around, especially bike riders?

We too have already booked a few of our perennial stops. Holland Lake Montana is an annual must for us and we often will camp there more than just once or twice per season.

After reading the thread title, I thought you were talking about a beauty pageant with a camping theme.

For example, Miss Camping, 1962

Hey Thanks, the campground at NJ we booked is Ocean view resort. Has anyone stayed there. Moose hill is all gravel and it is larger stone. My five year old could not ride with training wheels. Most kids did OK but the adults said it was hard. My wife had a hard time walking in her crocs because of the large stone. We were near the entrance close to the activities. Most campgrounds have playgrounds and things throughout the campground. Everything at Moose hill is up front. Big nice sights, drop off slopes around allot of the sites. Because of the stone it is dusty also. The owners don't take feedback well they only wanna hear the good. All in all we will go back sometime , but I really like Lake George RV park. And did anyone stay at Ocean view resort in Cape may or Jelly Stone in Quarryville Pa. Have two week in half trips planned. Jelly stone looks nice ,but unsure about Ocean view. Can anyone recommend a nice campground in or near Cape May.

Anyone who stays at Moose Hill needs to know that this is a very new CG like only a couple years in the making. The biggest attraction at this time I think is their 3 million dollar pool. There are much nicer CG's in the Lake George area however Moose Hill I'll have to say has the nicest pool by far.

I'll have to look into the Ocean View in Cape May.

Yes Moose hill is new, but they own another family owned Moose hill in New Hampshire so they have lots of experience. They have a pirate ship pool. Think that's where it is. So let's see more pictures of everyone's setup, make us as my title says ,Miss camping.

Wow February camping I'm jealous. What will the temperature be like where you live. Went to the Hudson valley camper and boat show today. It was alright. They have all that space when you first enter. They should fill it up with camping supplies to look at and buy. New products etc.

I was down the road as we always do last season at LGRVP, but did not go and explore down the road. How was the new park?

Booked all my 2015 trips except for one fall weekend. Winter feels like an eternity...

Quarryville was in the middle of "nowhere" and I mean NOWHERE! Felt like I was camping in someone's backlot. Secluded and too far off the beaten path. Dusty, tight sites and the pool is shallow and crowded. One and done. Kids activities were good, clubhouse was nice, grounds were kept. What I did not like was GC's, DJ blasting music till 11PM, crowded pool and long travel time to all the attractions in PA. Towing in was a challenge as the roads are steep, narrow and slow going.

If you want to camp them find another location in the area. We did it due the cabins and majority rules, but did not like it.

The KOA in Jamestown was nice for a half week stay. Easy access to 81 and decent sites.

Thanks for your review of the Jelly stone. We got a red carpet site did you see those sites.I looked at it on Google earth and it is in the middle of no where. We will be there for 9 days. Now I am not sure about it. Has anyone stayed at Ocean view resort in NJ.

I was in red carpet site #1. 9 days is a long time to be there. If you are going to explore a lot of PA while there I would seriously think about breaking up the stay and heading over to another CG for half the time. The trip in and out is long just to get anywhere. It was 99 - 100 there for 5 straight days and the pool was boiling. If your plan is to camp and stay put 90% of the time then it will be good for the kids and family. Kids like Yogi and activities. Dusty too. Clean your AC filter mid week for sure.

I stayed at the Mountain Vista CG in PA and I thought it was fantastic. It's in the Poconos and it's close to a lot of attractions. Two thumbs up.

Wow not sure what to do about Jelly stone. We generally stay around the campground. We did have a bad experience down in Urban a Virginia. Bethpage camp resort. They have a small water park and it was closed when we went. Then it rained the whole week. There was not even a bowling ally near by. We rented a golf cart and drove it in the rain all week, then left a day early. I don't know what to do. It is paid for, but I hate allot of dust and and tight sites. The red carpet site was that tight that is the site we have.
