Sweet ride! BTW, are you planning on getting a larger RV?

That makes me laugh, I think I bought too much truck! LOL Going to pull into the campground with a truck that is only a few feet shorter than the trailer.

Thanks guys for the nice comments!

The back story:
I was towing with a 1500 Suburban and the trailer was right at the max, if not slightly over its capacity. I never felt comfortable so we olny went on local trips. I decided I wanted a bigger truckk for safety reasons. I started looking into 250s and 2500s with the anticipation of eventually getting a bigger trailer. Well, as the wheels turned, so to speak, I decided it was better to go the 350/3500 route this way I would not have to worry about weight limitations in a couple years and upgrade the truck again. Basically, buy once, cry once! Wifey wanted the dually, it looks nice she says.

There were some other factors that went into the decision. The truck had to have a 40/20/40 front seat so I could seat 6. Family of 5 plus a frined for the kids or the dog. The pickup bed to carry the 5 or 6 bikes. So on and so forth.

So I plan on getting a bigger trailer in a couple years, once the truck is paid off or close to it.

The key to a happy, long living 6.0 is keeping it out of overdrive when not working it and no aftermarket programmers (keep it bone stock). Keep those RPM's about 2800 at crusing speeds (working or not)and it will give you many miles of dependable life and very few (if any) problems.

All that said, Nice set up!

Very nice.

Re: Ford 6.0... I would add,
Keep the fuel and oil CLEAN.
And when pulling the trailer, let the engine idle 3 min. or more to cool the turbo before shutting the engine off.
And after cruising (not pulling) for long periods (an hour or more), before exiting the highway, slow down a bit then and go 'pedal to the metal' for a few seconds so the turbo vanes go from one extreme to the other. And cooling the turbo still a good idea.
I suggest, too, that you add an engine-coolant filter. The factory engine oil cooler can gradually plug up leading to all kinds of problems.
Get some kind after-market gauges to monitor temps and pressures. They may alert you to a problem before an expensive failure.
I've also used Ford's PM-22a from day-one due to improve lubricity and reduce exhaust soot. No way to know if this has made any difference.

My 6.0 has about 314,000 miles and still going strong.

The truck currently hs 226,xxx on it. When I got it in Jan I was all over it. It already has the egr delete. I confirmed the stc fitting was changed. I upgraded the dummy plugs and stand pipes. Replaced the aftermarket oil filter with a new OEM filter and cap. Also changed the fuel filters and air filter with oem. Changed the oil cooler with the new motorcraft design. Upgraded the Cleaned the intake and installed the egr valve that was removed. Upgraded the delete to the IPR design. I did not add a coolant filter as of yet. Also added Fumoto block drains and oil drain. Upgraded the starter as I broke a lug off the solenoid when removing it for the block drains. Did multiple flushes with Simple Green HD and then finished with distilled water flushes. Changed over the Zerex ELC Cat-1 coolant. Oil changed to Rotella T6 15w40 and Archoil 9100 additive. I am utilizing Torque Pro on an android device to monitor all my gauges. I WOT every once in a while to keep the turbo vanes from sticking.

All I can think of for now.
