My Rig Accident

Oops! This happend on my maiden voyage. Travelled all the way from Nebraska to Mesa, AZ for Christmas. Travelled through snow, mountains, deserts, city, highway, tight fuel stations, and just 80 miles from home on the way back hit a bunch of black ice. Just a smudge on the side of the Jayco. Took out the back window and rear pillar of the truck. It is now fixed.

rerev2, sorry to see your pictures of your accident. Glad you didn't suffer much damage.
Your pictures gave me a wake-up call as we were leaving for Texas today. I was looking at the weather maps and the call for snow & ice storms. I was traveling in the white stuff Friday in the car on the Interstate. Seeing a couple Hot-Rodders side lined in the ditches. I thought why rush I'm retired.
Thanks for the Wake-Call Wayne

Glad you are OK, you could have been hurt really bad. It is amazing that the Fiver did not kiss the side of your truck, did it ? Looks like your hitch (B&W I guess) held up well along with your pin box. Your are really lucky and blessed this did not turn out worse.

I've been thanking the Lord for His protection. The hitch held up great. As far as the truck, the only damage was to the rear window and rear pillar behind the rear door. Could have been a lot worse!

I'm lookikng forward to taking the rig out camping. Springs a comin'.

Thank God no one was hurt and the damage was far less than it could have been,

@yogi154. I love your attitude. I'm the same way. Being retired has its perks! I spent most of my life rushing so I'm taking my own sweet time now (without getting in other's way; I always hated older people getting in my way in the past and I don't want to be one of them now).
