Smile Road Test and Weigh day for our 2002 Jayco Qwest 5th Wheel and 2004 F150

Finally got the new (to us) 5th wheel registered last week and took it out on the road today for the first time to adjust the brakes, practice maneuvers, and get it all weighed. My homework paid off and weights were pretty much where I expected them, just cannot take as much firewood or fresh water along as I had hoped.

Truck and trailer tow and brake nicely and it is going to be a joy to travel with.

here in NY you can't bring firewood unless you are going close by because of the ash borer beetle problem ...not sure about other states. looks great i bet you cant wait to get on your travels

Yeah, I know about the firewood thing. Our main camping place is Thompson's lake and it is only about 25 miles away and the wood is from our back yard. Not a big deal, one row across the bed behind the cab turned out weighing 240 pounds, not worth the weight.
