Second campout with the "z"

Well, the weather looked halfway decent, so we went for the second trip of the year and we were completely alone!
I was a little surprised we were the only ones out again, but it is kinda nice to have an entire campground to your self.

and yes, we are actually going again this weekend I do kinda hope someone else is there, starting to feel like no one around here goes camping anymore.

Wow the whole campground to yourself, that's pretty crazy. What's the day and night temps been for you?

I too have been the only one in a campground. It is nice and strange at the same time. I hope you have nice campers this weekend. If there are other campers don't be surprised if they camp right next to you.

Amabee, those are some well insulated tent ends! I'll bet you guys were toasty warm. We live within walking distance to Brown County State Park here in southern Indiana-largest in the state with 400+ sites. I was actually surprised to see about 30 campers there on Easter weekend. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of them. Don't worry, I'll bet this coming weekend will be packed there in Iowa because I think the weather is going to turn around for the entire midwest very soon. Enjoy your weekend.

It was in the low 30's overnight and the low 50's during the day. It is kind of creepy at night with no one else around.

Yeah, with the PUGS and the reflectix it is really nice inside the camper, we easily kept it at 65 with a 1500W electric heater, the furnace only came on a couple times. Plus we have heated mattress pads.
According to the forecast, Sat. is going to be in the mid 60's. I am sure we will have other campers, we are going to a more popular campground this weekend.

It is a little creepy in a big state park and you're the only one.
One of our favorite parks over in Indiana doesn't have rangers anymore like the good old days.
Only the CG hosts and on weekends they have some private security guards that drive through every couple hours.

If there's any problems, they have to call State Police over in Versailles.

I usually bring a CCW, but I prefer a few folks around lol

We love Brown County State Park. Dawn and I stopped there twice over the last few years on our way back from Colorado (to the People's Republik of NJ). The mountain biking there is fun and we loved going to the Big Woods Brewing Company after our ride. Nashville is a neat little town.
