The picture was found in a thread here on the forum Seems as though a simple issue is a very confusing issue Do a search on water heaters and you will see what I mean. Now, something as simple as what that pictures shows makes me wonder why the manufactures don't include it in the owners manual. Even if a bypass hookup is an option.

Elefantdude Yes that is the position you want the valves in when you winterize the camper. You do not want any anti freeze solution in the water heater. BUT make sure you drain the water heater or else the attached may happen

A few weeks ago I purchased a 2004 Jay Feather 25E Was sold as a handyman special. So being is was at a good price and the damage I could see wasn't all that bad. I brought it. Finally started to check things out and all was good until I put water in the system and turned the pump on. My other half yelled that water was coming out the front of the camper. The picture shows the source of the water leaking. The good news was being it was a pilot type burner the replacement now has DSI and all is hooked up and working just fine. The only other surprise I had was the valve on the toilet had to be replaced.

Dang! So that water heater picture was your experience? Glad you were able to fix the problems with that "fixer upper"!
