2011 Exp 213 sewer hose storage

Hey all

We took the x213 out on its maiden Voyage over the weekend and we had a ball.....

My big question is what are you doing with your sewer hose... I have a 2011 model so it has the tiny storage compartment in the front of the unit.

The storage compartment has no room for fittings also the sewer connection is towards the front of the camper so It needs a longer sewer hose to make the connection which doesn't look like it will fit.

I guess I'm asking what your all doing with your sewer hose and parts.

Thanks
Tom

I'm not familiar with the 2011 model, but have you tried the bumper? I bought a Camco Rhinoflex hose and it fits in the trailer's bumper. It's snug, because it's designed to be as large as possible while still fitting in the bumper. The only part I store separately is the 90-degree step-down connector.

The bumper is just a flat bumper and has no storage.

Thanks

I use a seperate storage box that has a rubber seal in the lid to keep odors in. I usually just put it in the back of my truck when towing and in the garage when home. I've seen some people add a 5x5 vinyl fence post to their TT for storing the sewer hose and I might be doing that soon.

Doh. I assumed Jayco's been doing the 4" square bumper for decades. Given the very sparse storage available on a 213, I'd consider changing the bumper out for a normal 4" bumper ($150 or less if you turn the wrenches yourself), or get some 5" aluminum box tube and do that instead (makes hose fitment easier). Or do the vinyl fence post trick as someone else mentioned.

Prefab

Camping World sells a Prefab storage solution made from PVC piping, Same concept as the vinyl fence post. It mounts fairly easily and it available in different lengths. They are designed for your sewer hose but they are also a nice storage solution for other long awkward items such as fishing rods.

I use a rubber maid storage bin that fits in the front storage compartment to store a long rhino hose and assorted couplers and keep a short 10 foot hose in the sewer hose compartment.

Longer and Wider Sewer Hose Tube

Several others showed me the way, but here is my post on the topic that you might be able to modify for your rig.

I mounted a 6" PVC tube under the belly. Works beautifully...
