22 FB vs. X213

We currently have a 165, we love it, but it's beginning to get tight with two growing kids. It would be nice to have beds that we do not have to make up every night for the kids. Any suggestions or ideas about either one of these? I would love to see these in the flesh, but there are non local. The X213 has a slide out, has anyone found any issues with these? I noticed the X213 doesn't have any pantry space other than the overhead cabinets (I'm vertically challenged), do have storage issues? I noticed there's a small space between the door and the back of the bench seat. Could a small storage cabinet fit there? Thanks for any info guys.

There is a pantry area next to the fridge on the X213.

I'm sorry, the 22 FB doesn't have the pantry.

On the 22FB, There is enough room between the door and the back of the dining bench to add a pantry closet. We added a closet maid 3 shelf storage shelf. They also are stackable, so you could add another on top. The shelf can be ordered with doors which would be handy for a pantry (we use ours for shoes, so didn't need doors.) If you order the "alder" color, it is almost a perfect match for the color of the factory installed cabinets. We got ours from Home Depot.
We anchored the lower unit with a bolt tieing it to the bench , which was hidden underneath in the storage portion of the seat. You can then anchor the upper unit to your just installed lower unit, or you can anchor it to the wall with mollybolts.

Here are two units side by side, but you would stack them one on top of the other.
