29y ??

I am trying to improve stabilization. Am wondering if anyone has ever relocated the stabilizers on the front? Mine is running parallel with the frame from front to back. I would like to have them mounted from side to side. Can't see the frame. Thanks for the help. Garry

Gary, if I understand you right, are you saying the front stab jacks are mounted different than the rear jacks? If they are running parallel with the frame in the front, do you jack them up at the front corner? How new is your trailer? I remember seeing this before on a older trailer but nevertheless there is no reason why you couldn't run them size to side if the mounting plates allow. On my first trailer it didn't come with jacks. I bought four jacks from a wrecking yard, and attached feet to them made from the arms of two chairs from my office.

I have an '06 29Y. They are mounted parallel with the frame (facing forward). Room doesn't allow but only one to run side to side. The propane line is in the way on the other. I would have to weld a 2 x 2 1/4 piece of metal to the frame in order to turn it. Would a couple of stabilizer jacks at the corners work just as well? TKU, Garry

To stop the bounce I use scissor in front of wheels. Frame is to long to not bounce. Our 10 lbs. dog could make the wave up and down.
