Welcome to the JOF, Riverbum. Nice job on the 2nd battery. That space is pretty tight on the 213, huh? Stop over to the New Members forum and say howdy if you would like.

That is pretty cool idea, I assume that you need to disconnect the batteries to access the spare?

no there's room to reach in there and lower the tire . I did have to shim up the gas bottle holder about an inch to get the tire bracket handle room to clear that seemed easier then modifying the bracket handle . also shimmed my L brackets I used for my batteries up off the frame a little bit so I could get my WD brackets room to slide back just a little

I just wanted to post an update on our X213 slide issues.

Jayco replaced our slide motor with the more powerful Tucon motor and our local dealership (Happy Trails RV) adjusted the slide perfectly!

All I can say is that Jayco and Happy Trails RV are companies that understand what customer service is all about. No stories, no excuses, just a positive mindset to correct an issue. Well done guys (and gals!).

We love our X213 and will definitely purchase another Jayco unit in the future.

We were very pleased with our service from Sicard RV in Smithville, Ontario and Jayco customer service. They also put a beefier motor on our 213 slideout and it works like a charm now. The motor is faster and more powerful.

Check out the new thread I started regarding new slide motor in the Jayco lite/ultra lite travel trailer section. Just had a new slide motor put in as well and all is working great. Pictures are attached to new thread

So, are all of the slide/motor issues resolved in the 2012 and 2013 models?

I have to take mine back. The new motor seems to be tripping some sort of internal breaker (if there is such thing) while it is going out and in. I get it almost all the way out and the motor stops. Wait for 10 seconds, I hear a click and the motor is back functional. Push it out another few inches and it trips again, wait ten seconds, click and out it goes again. This goes on 3-4 times before the slide is fully extended (or retraced). Stay tuned

Hello, We are from MI. and just bought a 2013 X213. So far we love it but it has only been 3 times camping. How do you like yours and have you had any issues?
Thanks.
