Caulking question

So today I caulked the corner moldings of the TT with Proflex RV clear caulk. It went pretty well for my first time, I laid down a pretty smooth bead of caulk into the corners. I tried smoothing my first corner and it just made a big mess so I did not smooth smooth the other corners. I went back about two hours later as someone recommended and pressed/smooth the caulk down a little to the corner.

Any opinion on if this will suffice with sealing the corners for a couple years? My opinion is it has gotta be better than prior to my application as all it had was putty that was squeezing out from the corner molding, there was no caulk in the corners at all.

Any thoughts from the pro's out there.

After the first year I trimmed off all the excess putty on my corner moldings and caulked them with pro flex also. The dealer I bought my camper from actually recommended doing it.

You can keep your finger wet with a soap and water solution as you smooth the proflex or even mist with light solution as you smooth it with you finger.

I use a lot of masking tape in an attempt to make it look good. A bit of practice and a lot of masking tape will make for a good looking seam. You can make decent corners with several small pieces of masking tape. I've found that Proflex cleans up nicely with mineral spirits.
