I have this one. Black & Decker VEC1093DBD. But I don't believe it is currently still being made.

In my opinion, it works very well, although some folks have ones where the fan conks out and then the unit overheats and stops working. Apparently it has a cheap fan which can be replaced with an inexpensive computer fan.

Mine is still working (knock on wood) after about 5 years and it does a good job of charging up my trolling motor.

I'm using a name brand battery charger that I picked up for cheap in an Ace Hardware bargain bin. I'm not happy with it because at the high setting it overheats and shuts off.
... long story deleted at this point...

So, RECON, what do you plan to use the charger for? Are you looking for a trickle charger (battery maintainer) or something with higher output?

NOCO Genius for top of the line battery chargers. They have several models with different different amp outputs to match up to the needs of most battery banks.

Just something to keep in charged while in storage. Are trickle chargers okay on RV batteries? My battery will be fully charged, when I store it. I go to pick it up & it's dead, then I have to hand crank my tongue to get it on the hitch...Pain in the a**
