Checked out my new TT

I finally got a chance to open up my new TT and plugged it into my genny. I did find out my TV gets 3 channels so far, heater is awesome, stereo was great I panicked initially when I first plugged it in that nothing that was connected to AC worked....after about 15 mins of trying to find the problem....it soon dawned on me that I had fogotten to turn the generator over to AC....doh!! Oh well, learn now not later I guess....lol I will need to get another genny and join them together to be able to run the AC. I am in the current stages of booking the July long weekend up at Alice Lake Provincial Park. I found out that they have electrical hook ups there....

Welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum, I too own a Jayfeather and very pleased I bought it. We use to spend time at Alice lake years ago before we started trailering. There are some great trails up there to hike on. The folks here are very friendly and helpful. If you have any questions I'm sure someone will have an answer for you.

Thanks, it looks like I will, at least I won't have to worry if it rains now...lol. When I had our Starcraft tent trailer, there was alot of work to protect it from the rain, especially having to open it up just to clean it.....I really started to dislike having to clean the PUP before storage especially after short weekend trips. Heck my wife says that she would set up the bed and awning after I back up and level the trailer....wait a minute....bed and awning are electric....lol

We had a Fleetwood PUP and every time we went out, it rained. We spent more time drying it out and cleaning it up then camping in it. So we got the 30U in 08 and I think it has rained 2 maybe 3 times since. Oh, and Mom, Dad, Big boy, Girl, and Little boy cooped up in PUP for 2-3 days = very interesting family interaction. In the PUP we all were locked into 10 square feet of space with a bunk on ether end, and no kids allowed on Mom and Dads bunk. Now in the 30U each monst... i mean munchkin has their own bunk and in the main area has the couch, and dinette. And Mom and Dad have their own ROOM. I cant wait till next month for the first use of the season.
Happy camping all!
