Door Light improvement

About 9 months after we took possession of our Jayco Skylark, the out door light by the door died. It turned out to be the light bulb, which surprisingly was an incandescent type bulb. All the other lights in and on the trailer are LED's. So I found a wedge mount LED for the 921 bulb. I was very disappointed in the amount of light it put out. Basically you could see the light at night, but it did nothing to light up the path to the door or the step.

Yesterday I went to a Camping World store and looked at their selection of replacement lamps. I found a Starlights Brilliant Light 300 LMS Brilliant Light Replacement Bulb Catalog Item # 65165

What a difference at night. It lights up the pathway to the door, the step and an area 10-15 feet out from the trailer.

I've replaced all the inside incandescent bulbs with LED's on the current and previous TT. Look for the Lumens (brightness) and the color temperature (K). I've had good luck replacing the 921 and the halogen bulbs in the current 5th. For the 921 bulb look for 260 lumens or greater and about 3000K (I call it "bright white"). I've bought all the replacements from ebay which are shipped from China and had great results.
