Gas system question

We have a Jayco Skylark that we store for 6 months. As part of the winterize/storage routine I turn off the propane tanks at the tanks. I do not drain the gas lines. In the spring I open the valves and have to hold down the light button on the stove for quite a while before any gas flows out of the burner to light. I can hear flow, but it seems to be just air. There are no leaks in the system. I have spoken to oter RV owners and they experience the same thing.

Where does the gas go over the winter?

Most likely is passes through the walls of the hoses or whatever just like air leaks out of a party balloon. The same thing would happen if you turned the natural gas off at your lake cottage and tried to fire it up 4 months later. Don't lose any sleep at all over this matter.

The lines depressurized over winter and filled with air. Try lighting the stove, it will take a bit to purge the air out. General rule for us, is the propane tanks are always connected to the HTT unless they are being filled.
