I saw my first other White Hawk this weekend

For having our 28 for over a year, I have only seen 1 other White Hawk, and it was passing on I-5. For as many Jay Flights, Swifts and Eagles I've seen, I guess there aren't that many out there.

It was rare enough that I had to wave, so if that was you being waved to by a white Chevy with a 28DSBH in tow, howdy!

I always wonder where the other White Hawk owners are too. We have only had ours for a couple of months, but I have yet to see another.

We were up by Olympia on I-5 and the WH was towed by a Suburban or Yukon.

Do you recommend the Newport area? We really enjoy the Seven Feathers RV Park in Canyonville. Maybe another trip down to So. OR is in order.

Newport's not bad and the two spots we like to stay at are Beverly Beach SP just north of Newport and South Beach SP, just south of Newport.

I was at Ocean Lakes Campground in Myrtle Beach last year. There were hundreds of RVs and we were the only Whitehawk in the entire place. I think they have something like 400+ sites.

I kind of like it this way though because we are uniquely different from all the others there. Everyone stops to take a look and many ask me about our RV.

Given that we're a somewhat rare bunch, I'll be sure to wave at any White Hawkers I see while on the road.

This past weekend was our first outing with our new 2014 Whitehawk 28DSBH at the Saugerties, NY KOA. Much to our surprise we were at site 37 and there was also a another family with a Whitehawk 28DSBH at site 35. The first time we saw another Whitehawk outside of our local dealership.

We were at Crooked River Ranch north of Redmond,OR for the Memorial Day Weekend and there wasn't another Whitehawk in the RV park. I will be sure to wave back if we pass.

Last week we camped in the south east corner of Nebraska and there was three other White Hawks besides our 28dsbh. Last year we only seen like one other one in the campgrounds we stayed at each time we went out. Looks like it is getting more popular.

We left Newport last weekend and headed back home to S. OR. I agree that South Beach and Beverly Beach are quality.

Not many folks know about the county RV park in Florence. We did a drive through inspection and it was exceptional and on the beach.

Just north of Florence is Jessie Honeyman state park. If your into sand toys this is a very popular spot in the fall as you can drive your quads right from your campsite to the dunes. I would strongly recommend reservations if you plan to go that route.

We also love staying at Seaside OR. Its a great oceanfront community with losts of stuff to see and do. Fort Stevens near Astoria is a must see for anyone that want to camp on the coast.

Hey stjohneyre - How does your 30DSRE tow with your 1500? I have the same RV with a 2012 Silverado, 5.3 and am heading out to Utah (from San Antonio, Tx) in a few months. RV is well within TV's tow limits but haven't been on a long trip yet. Hoping to get at leat 9 MPG.

We were in Myrtle Beach back in April and saw 3 or 4 other White Hawks at our campground. They are handsome units and those that own them are stylish and sophisticated people.

We are White Hawk owners also

My wife and I have been researching TT for a couple of years before buying our first TT which is a 2012 28DSBH. Of all the campers we looked at we found the White Hawk to be the spec we wanted for weight and we loved the layout and features. We looked at other White Hawks and find they are all nice.

You are correct, we don't see many but recently at a KOA in Michigan we saw another 28DSBH in a seasonal spot. They seem rare, but my dealership tells me it is one of their most popular models for the past couple of years so I think we will begin to see more.

Enjoy!

Made our second trip in our White Hawk this past week. Saw 3 others on I-71 between Columbus and Mansfield, Ohio. One was headed south on Sunday, July 20. The others were headed north on Sunday the 27th.

I take delivery of a new 2015 DSBH on Friday. We have done some tent camping and I did not see any white hawks. I also have not seen any on the highway. They seem to be popular so I wonder where they are all going?

I wonder the same thing. During a 3,500 mile trip to the mid-west we saw a grand total of five, and pretty sure three of those were new deliveries. Only ever seen one in a campground.
