I See Toilet Paper!!
Wen I flush the Toilet and look down the pipe, I see Toilet paper gathering and not moving. Even when I open the blank tank and flush the toilet for 4-5 minutes. Anybody know what I can do?
Thanks again for the help!! Great Site!!

Do you have a snake? Try to snake it down the pipe and push it along.

Have someone hold the toilet handle open and dump a bucket of water down the drain to move the TP.
The problem could be as simple as to much TP being used (use single ply only), and/or not enough water being used during the flush cycle. Also, I have heard that if the pipe from the toilet into the tank is to long it can create TP jams upon entering the tank.
Might want to consider investing in an automatic black tank rinser http://reviews.walmart.com/1336/7964...ws/reviews.htm or a hand spray wand http://www.walmart.com/ip/Camco-Flex...-Stik/14504324 for cleaning the black tank (helps keep solids from sticking to the inside tank surface).
Be careful using any type of snake because you don't want to damage the tank fill sensor.

That might not be TP. When I look down the throat of my toilet in our trailer I can see some sort of plate (shiny) attached at an angle. The first time I noticed it I thought it was strange and then after thinking about it, I believe it's some sort of "splash guard" for when your traveling with a full or near full black tank.
Again, I'm not positive with my answer so if anyone can me different, I'm all ears.

OK major question here for you... Do you leave the black tank drain valve open?
NEVER DO THIS... always let the tank fill with waste then empty it... there is never enough water in an RV flush to carry away the nasty stuff if you leave the drain open you will loose the liquids but the solids will stay behind and eventually clog the tank...

You can fill the toilet with fresh water. It holds about a gallon. Then flush. The sudden whoosh and the water pressure cleans things left behind.

I had the same thing. Gave it a poke with a stick (burnt stick in camp fire after)and a good flush and away it went. Instruct family members to fill the bowl with water then flush to keep pipe clear as it makes a 90* turn into the tank and the extra water helps carry the waste into the tank this only applies to #2 or paper being flushed of course.

I had the same thing happen on a new camper, Found that during assembly when they glued the pipe in place some of the glue dripped into the tank and caused a bump. Toilet paper would collect on it and not run down the tank. Had to use a long scraper to get it off.

When I am not using my 5th for a while, I hook up my black tank sprayer open my drain and let it run for a couple of minutes, close everything up add a little water and a few ounces of "Pure Power" and am good to go.

There is this nice stick thing that you get from walmart hook it up to a hose and stick it down the tank and it will spray around the tank moving your poo particles and toilet paper to the drain. It only cost me less than $10 as nice needed addition to cleaning the tank easier.

Seems like i will get a big mess if I just insert it up the hose and then turn some water on. Maybe it is suppose to go down the pot??? All i have seen is the picture on WALMART page

You actually cut a hole in your black tank and insert it into the wall of the tank. It spins around washing out the tank and the water comes out the normal drain. Actually very clean operation, but you would be surprised at what comes out of that tank when you run it!

Roy,
Adding to Terry's comments, the following link is a good reference if you decide to install a black tank rinse product: http://users.xplornet.com/~burnetta/...s/Tornado.html

Thanks Bob and Terry _ I certainly didn't read that part - hehe I usually read just what I want to read I guess... The rotating part on the inside of the tank I guess doesnt move in anywhere. Just rotates on the side of the wall I guess and squirts high pressure water... I 'll do some looking into this... Sounds like a neat thing...
I can think of a couple of good reason to have an access hole. Just think what you could do with a high pressure hose cutting down the POO building up...

Tank rinser
I had one of these installed right after I bought the unit 5 years ago. I would not be without it. I use a Y with a shutoff valve and check valve right where the connection is on side of trailer. I rinse the tank EVERY time I empty it and have had little or no trouble with black water tank sensors since. The unit is relatively inexpensive and if you are at all handy you could install it yourself. Otherwise it will probably cost a couple of hundred for dealer to do because it takes them two or three hours as the underside of trailer has to be removed below tanks.
Also you might like to try the trick I mentioned with Calgon water softener to help clean out your tank.
