Installed vent covers....

It was a cool weather morning for a change today. Got the ladder, went on top, and installed two Maxx vent covers on the 184 BH. It was a easy task even for me! I like'em..

we also have the 184, what is involved in installing the vent covers and what are the advantages over the regular vents? thanks,.....happy camping!

You only need to drill 4 - 3/16" holes on the sides of your existing vents for the brackets. These brackets are bolted on and the cover is hinged and pinned so that you can flip it up to clean. These Maxx air vent cover go over your existing vent so you do not remove it. It is designed to allow air flow so that you can leave your vent open without water getting in

In addition, if you ever remove them the holes are on the side lip of the roof vent and will have no effect on operation or water-tightness of the existing vent.

Advantages: They can be open during a rainstorm or when unoccupied for ventilation. Many have provisions for easily hinging one side for ease of cleaning.

Just got back to this site, sorry.
Both former replies are correct.
The rear one is a fairly close fit on the 184bh because of
the vent pipe. But no problem. I sure like them.
