Jayco 165 scale weights - Please review
Planning a couple of month trip with our 165 so wanted to make sure everything is set up correctly. Would appreciate review/input on my setup.
All weights were with the truck and trailer loaded as it will be when we travel. Full tank of gas and propane tanks full.
TV - 2011 Nissan Frontier with an Fastway E2 WDH, 600lb bars
Front axle GAWR - 3296 lbs
Rear axle GAWR - 3331 Lbs
GVWR - 5690 LBS
TT 2012 Jayco 165 (Modified with a 2.5" lift kit and 215/75-14 tires)
Axle rating - 3000lbs
Gross wt limit - 3500 lbs
Scale Weights:
TV/TT with WDH engaged
Steer axle - 2680
Drive Axle - 2880
Tow axle - 2960
TV/TT with WDH released but in place
Steer axle - 2380
Drive Axle - 3340
Tow axle - 2800
TV
Steer axle 2660
Drive Axle 2440
If my calculation are correct, it appears my tounge wt is about 620lbs. This seems a bit heavy to me, but I really don't have much in the front section of the trailer than could be relocated. I did replace the single 30gal propane tank with 2-20gals tanks which added about 40lbs when full.
The truck/trailer combo handles very well and my axle and gross weights are within spec and my steer axle weight with WDH is close to the unhitched weight so I think everything is good to go.
Any input would be appreciated.
