Question Jayco Jay Feather 25Z 2007 - battery location and cover?

Just bought my first trailer in a park. They have the battery located in front of the propane tanks without a cover. The battery is dead. They never used it. I would like to replace the battery. Is it suppose to be located in this location and if yes shouldn't it have a cover?

Any help would be appreciated. A picture of your cover would be nice.

I need a 12 Volt Deep Cycle according to my manual. Does it go outside or inside? Love to know.

Just about every TT will have a battery located by the propane tank, and in a plastic housing with a cover. My 16XRB is by the propane tank.

You can buy a battery case with cover at Wally mart, or any large automotive parts store. Be sure to get one with a cover and strap (to hold the cover on), and mounting the case to the TT's front frame is easy; a couple of stainless steel screws and a drill would do the job.
