Jayco Jay Feather SLX16

We just purchased a 2015 Jayco Jay featherlight SLX16 model, and went on our first 2 day outing. The temps outside got into the 40's at night, so we had the heat on. We noticed some slight moisture under the bed mats (on the platform) when we were folding everything up for the trip back home. Is this "normal"? We dried it up with a cloth of course, and I planned to put some plastic down between the board and mat for the next trip to avoid any moisture transfering to the mat (to avoid any mold or "stink").

Also, would adding two left/right front jack levelers be recommended? I detached the trailer from the truck, and used a cone (removed the wheel) on the front tongue's jack. We felt a small amount of wobble towards the front whenever we moved about.

On the tenting of pop ups and hybrids it is normal to have condensation inside the camper in the winter. You can buy a dehumidifier or crack a window. Neither work well, but the window works better.

Thanks. I did read in the Jayco owners manual about unzipping the rearmost window about an inch to "vent"; Not sure though if this would help with the moisture under the mats. I did not experience any moisture on the canvas sides or roof; just under the mattresses. My concern is that they might mold or develop a musty smell.

Wobble issue ... block wheels and put down the 4 "stabilizers".

Did block the wheels, and had the equipped rear stabilizers down. This model did not come with fronts, which is why I posted if buying two for the front would be a good choice.

I should have read your post more carefully.

Seems the "designers" do not think the front stabilizers are necessary. But they have not spent the time you have in your TT.

I would expect that a rig that wobbles when you move about, will wobble more, when camping in a wind storm and that can be frightening. Yes, I would install front stabilizers.

Thanks. This will be on my "next to buy" list. I see there are 24" and 30" stabilizer jacks. I'll need to measure from the ground to the front frame to see which will be best. My "common sense" tells be that 30" would work no matter what though.
