Jensen TV

Can anyone either tell me what model Jensen TV would be in a 2015 27 DSRL or provide me with a link for the manual for the TV. I didn't get one with all the paperwork that came with the trailer. I want to hook up a digital audio cable from the TV to the stereo and I need to see where the TV connection is so I can tell if I have to remove the TV from its mount. If I do, that will be the next question, "How?. Thank you for your help.

The mount is standard on most all flat screen TV's 4 screws hold it to the mount. A mirror helps you see back there... Audio connections should already be made from the TV to the stereo (at least it was on mine)

Thanks Seann. I was hoping there was a quick release on the mount. It looks like there is one but it doesn't seem to work. There is a cable that hangs down below the TV and it looks like if you pull it, the TV will release from the mount. Unfortunately, I pulled it and nothing happened. I thought there was something I was missing. But thanks for the information. I may have to just unscrew it like you said.

Ours has the cable but the end of it is connected to a plastic push pin in the top of the mount. Once the push pin is pulled the mount will come free.

As long as you are going to unscrew the TV from the wall mount, may I suggest buying a better TV? The Jensen is crap, in both picture and sound. You can buy a smart TV (Samsung, LG) the same size and be able to stream movies or screen share from your smart phone.

It will not only have a better picture, but the sound will be an improvement, even over the ceiling speakers.

It's actually not more than a 5 minute job to remove and reinstall the push pin "quick release" to fully access the rear of the set, but I was going to suggest the same thing-- just replace it now.
We received our used '08 Jayco earlier this year with a rear Jensen that was dead, and the PO had already replaced the front Jensen that had died sometime earlier.

Any household LCD or LED TV set will work in its place just as long as it fits.

Thanks for the suggestion guys. When I pull down on the quick release cable should I be lifting up on the TV? Should I be hearing a click or anything indicating that the TV has been released from the mount. I'm not getting anything. Thanks for your help.

Pulling down on the cable releases the bottom latch on the mount. You should be able to tip the bottom of the tv away from the mount once you pull that cable hard enough. You have to pull really hard. Once that latch releases and you tilt the bottom of the tv out of the mount, you can lift the whole tv out of the top of the mount.

The first time I did it I really stuggled with the cable, but after twisting my head and peaking behind the tv with a flashlight I finally got it. Since then its been easier.

Thanks Husker. I didn't think to pull the bottom of the TV out while pulling on the cable. I was trying to lift it up. I'll give it another go next chance I get.

Once you follow the suggest as above to get the tv out. I would suggest a Vizio 39" TV. NOt the best TV but it does fit the opening and it much better than the Jensen. I replaced the 32" Jensen with the Vizio last year and am complete satisfied. Also added a 29" sound bar and have that sitting at the base of the cabinet.

Thanks Jamer. I priced that 39" Vizio and it's only $249 at Best Buy and a little cheaper on Amazon. That will be my first Spring project next year. Thanks for the suggestion.

Pulling that chain to release the TV mount will likely be pretty tough the first couple times. Mine has a nylon strap that was pushed up under and behind the TV and it took me forever to even find it. Once I found it, I gave it "the beans" (I had to pull pretty hard, I thought I was going to break it) and the TV swung free from the "wall" on an articulated arm.

Once I had it free, I examined and tightened the connections, lubed the release latch and put it back. I've only repeated that procedure a couple times, but it's always been much easier than it was the first time.

Our release latch is pretty hard to pull also. Tv mounted on fireplace wall and when you pull hard on the release it will "pop" and the tv swings out on an arm. Does not lift up. Don't know if you have the same type or not. Sometimes if I push in on the tv when i pull the latch, it takes pressure off the latch and it works much easier.
