Just back from maiden voyage.
Picked uo the TT on Thursday. Went camping on Friday and Saturday. It went pretty well. My generator extention cord had a short and I had to get a new one. I ran the A/C ok with the generator but I had a brain fart and turned the refrig from propane to electricity and that was too much for the Honda EU2000i. I found that 18 gallons of water is not a whole lot and if you are dry camping you have to be careful with water use. Next time out I am going to a place with full hookups. I don't understand if the furnace has a pilot light like the water heater. I got the water heater up and running. I was proud of myself.

Glad to see your trip went well. You'll have a few of those "Homer Simpson" moments (DOH!!), I know I sure have!

We bought our Jayco White Hawk in May also. I've been reading about Honda generators and trying to decide what will run my camper. I see you wrote the EU2000i ran your A/C. What else did it run. I'm confused about generators because they talk about the amount of wattage at start up when the A/C is turned on.

If are planning on using the ac, plan on a 3k watt minimum.

It ran the microwave and interior 120v lights. It ran the fridge but not at the same time as the air conditioner. The air takes all it has to offer.

From what I have read, a 13,500 BTU ac takes about 2700 start up watts and about 1250 running watts. But, Nevada Camper said his 2000 ran his AC, so the Honda 2000 must handle the start up.

How many watts is the A/C?
My A/C is a small wall mounter model. I have to kook into haw amny watts it uses. The Honda 3000 watt generator in a little heavy for me to take camping. Somebody suggested mounting a rack on the back of the TT and carry along my 4,000 watt generator. I would think it would not be advisable with such a lightweight trailer. I could maybe carry it in the back of my pickup truck....
