Mattress Topper suggestions

Wondering what you use for a mattress topper over the so-called mattress Jayco has used in our Jayfeather 27p. Thanks!

I asked the same basic question a short time ago. I got a lot of suggestions. Several mentioned Walmart. I checked there, but the selection was not very good. I went to walmart on-line and found a huge selection. I still have not ordered one.

On my last RV I added a memory foam topper from Costco... made a world of difference.

After looking at mattress toppers, and the prices for a good one. We just went to a mattress store and asked which of the mattresses are available in a short queen size. There were 5 or 6 to choose from. We chose the one that we felt the best laying on and it's being delivered this Friday. So for about $150 more than the mattress topper we were looking at we have a proper mattress. 8" pillow top mattress. The store was having a sale so we saved 45%. Looking forward to having the best night sleep in the trailer this Friday.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

I have 2.5 inch that we bought from SAMs club. I made a "pillow case" that fits around it. I lay it out on the bad and it's almost more comfortable than my home bed.

Like the idea of buying a short queen, time to check out the local mattress stores.
Thanks for the replies!

We bought a 4 inch memory foam breathable mattress topper at Wal Mart a few months ago in the full size. It was around $100 but it was the best purchase I have made for our camper yet.

We ditched the junk coil spring mattress, and put in an Ikea foam mattress I had bought for guests a couple years ago. We ended up in a bigger house with a real guest room not long after so it is was basically used for a week, rolled up, and forgotten about. Works perfect in the TT.

After 4 years of suffering with the OEM mattress in our Keystone TT, we popped for the interspring euro top from Camping World. About $400. When we bought our new 14 White Hawk in May, we swapped out the Jayco mattress so we could keep the good one. Well worth the $$. A world of difference. The only scary part is when they ship it to you in a box. Its compressed and rolled up so it fits in a box that is maybe 14" square an the length of the mattress. My thought was well there goes $400 down the tubes but cut the plastic and it pops out [make sure you have it where it will go and get out of the way]. Great nights sleep.

We bought a memory foam matress topper from Costco, and just returned from 18 days of camping. Night and day difference between just the old matress and matress with topper. $129.00 instore at Costco, can't go wrong. FYI, the matress topper is 6" longer than the short queen that came with the camper, we decided to use the topper as is and it works fine.
