Rebecca: We went to a local campground in Chino, CA (SoCal) which has allowed us to test things out before we go on trips further away from out house. For the holiday weekend, we will be at San Elijo State Beach in Encinitas. It will be high on 70 and low of 52. We're crossing our fingers!

That's great! I hope you have a great trip! We are up near Yosemite but I hope I try out a So Cal trip ( beach area) soon. Let me know how everything goes!

We just purchased our 23b and towed it home Saturday. After camping in a Coleman Popup for the past 35 years, this will take some getting used to. We love the layout. Not an inch of space is wasted. We turned the furnace on when we got home so we could tinker around for awhile. It was 20 degrees F outside, and it was a cozy 75 inside within 1/2 hour. Amazing! I hope it holds the cold air equally as well in the summer.

You'll love it! We've had ours in 90 degree and around 30. Stayed comfortable both extremes.

Have you had any problems with the wind blowing your awning up, threatening to go over the top of the trailer?

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Just bought my X23B and I'm in Iowa. Couple of wind gusts came and almost blew my awning up and over. Seems like it should latch down better or something.

We purchased our 23b last year replacing a fleetwood pop up. We will also be at Knoebels for our annual father's day get together. Knoebels is our most anticipated annual trip we take. Going in style this year and sitting across from another 23b. Should be great!

Buying soon

We are in the process of buying and the dealer has a full boat x23b coming in this weekend. As most people are, we are confused in what a good price on this unit should be. Like the OP, we are impressed with the design and layout.

This is what we are looking at

MSRP 25100

We are being quoted

20000 + 3500 delivery (CA) + 800 PDI + tax

I know a lot of people would say to haggle more, but these models do not stay on the lot in Southern California. In fact there are none within 200 miles of us. The only reason we are probably getting a shot at this is because it hasn't been delivered yet.

Is that for a 2015 model? We purchased our 2014 X23B for $20k including upgrades, delivery & custom color.

No, 2014 model. Did you have to haggle a lot? What was there asking price all in, if you don't mind sharing? I'm starting to feel like I may have to play hardball.

We didn't really haggle at all...that was the RV show price. We didn't like any of the interior colors of the model they had onsite. We ended up ordering the color we liked, and it was delivered 9 weeks straight from the factory in Indiana for the same price. They even threw in a free BBQ.

What was the price out the door? I'm considering waiting for the RV Show if it is that much of a difference. Did you finance or purchase for cash and do you think it makes a difference.

If you want to save money and don't mind driving to get it, a lot of folks use RV Direct. Their pricing is pretty good.....

We paid $18,500 for our X23B last month here in Iowa. We financed with a 10% down payment. Payments are $214 per month for 10 years. Absolutely love this trailer!

Almost wish I hadn't read what others paid for their X23B. We thought $25,000 was a good price!
